Magnetic materials such as magnetorheological (MR) fluids, and elastomers exhibit a broad change in their material properties, for example, viscosity storage modulus the presence of magnetic field. Studies related to MR fluid elastomer are extensively available. The brush, meanwhile, is less frequently explored understood. An brush defined by brush-like structures formed from chains particles embedded within carrier matrix, typically fluids or elastomers. In this study, we explore (MRF) (MRE) investigate magneto-mechanical properties. investigation measured stiffness response, properties field MRF MRE brushes. Further dependence effect on preparation parameters, mainly concentration curing flux density (for brush) were investigated. responsiveness brushes compared using Magnetorheological response index, proposed metric study. results indicate that possess greater absolute stiffness, but lower than brush. Both show an increase with increased fillers. further demonstrate enhanced which could be highly comparable coinciding during process. fundamental both solid study opens new avenue area materials. This class magnetically controllable potentially employed applications where soft tuneable bristle-like desired.
